It’s March 17th - St. Patrick’s Day.
St. Patrick’s Day is fun for everyone, but it holds a special significance to me and to this company. St. Patrick’s Day is the day that my husband, Troy, and I got married in Ireland in 2012. It was a magical day unlike anything I had ever experienced before. We were married on top of the Cliffs of Moher, a world-famous destination that is even more awe-inspiring in person than it is in pictures.
Our wedding was a one-of-a-kind experience that I will never forget. Not only did we say our vows in one of the most beautiful places on earth, but we were also able to drink Guinness in our wedding attire. We had our reception at the Doonbeg Hotel in a beautiful Irish town. It felt like a fairy tale. And I knew I had to have something more than just photos to remember it by - I wanted to somehow bottle up the experience itself.
This is when Troy prompted me to take a fragrance blending class. The first fragrance I created was made with the scents of the ocean, ozone, sea salt, and wet earth. It was like I had bottled up the Cliffs of Moher themselves! I grew to love fragrance blending so much that it went from a hobby to a homegrown business to where we are today - with an ever-growing fragrance company here in Texas!
March 17th gets me thinking about the gratitude I have for Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day, my family, and this company. Without March 17th, who knows if this company would exist? Without my husband and our daughter Adler, the inspiration for candle making may have never come to fruition. At this time next year, we will be back in Ireland showing our daughter where it all began. And we are so thankful all of you are along on the journey with us
